I first pick up a guitar when i was 18 years old when working my way throw chef college.
That is when my first wife past away at 21 years and that is where a lot my feelings to play the blues come from.
I leaved in to may city & place to talk about them all .
I meet Danny Beck in Toronto and started learn guitar. Ended up playing a mouth organ for a long time .
Then moved out west in 1980 with my second wife Esther and then ran into Mike Buckingham I went to chef school with and started playing guitar again and had great Sunday morning brunches .
But never ever work on my rhythm . Quick note to everybody learn rhythm first then the chords please please do it.
We played for many year never any thing serious then two hot knife higher.
When stared thinking about retiring I was about 60 years old .
My wife had a customer that played at the Metchosin market .
His name is Jesse Roper .
The first time we ever set down in a lesson .
He clapped his hands together in a rhythmic pattern and had me repeat it many time.
He said that rhythm you have to learn that first .
That what i did for 3 steady years and still working on every single day .
The next thing he said to me was PRACTICE** PRACTICE **
Anytime I see him He ask are you
** PRACTICING **.
There are some other people that help me to. Josh Mansfield guitar teacher& Char sing coach (Jesse friends ) Then I seen another sing coach and song writer Jessica Benini .
